Pairing Wine with Your Board

Good wine and good cheese are a natural pairing — each one makes the other more interesting.

PAIRING 1 — CRISP WHITES WITH SOFT CHEESES

A light white wine works beautifully with soft brie-style cheeses. From our range, the Villa Sparina Gavi DOCG or the Cantina Lavis Pinot Grigio pair naturally with the Délice de Bourgogne or Double Cream Brie, Garlic and Herbs. The acidity cuts through the creaminess without overwhelming the flavour.

PAIRING 2 — FULL-BODIED REDS WITH AGED HARD CHEESES

A structured red pairs well with aged hard cheeses. The CVNE Contino Gran Reserva (Spanish Rioja) or the Ziereisen Blauer Spatburgunder (German Pinot Noir) complement aged varieties like OG Kristal, Gruyère de Savoie, or Comté 30 Months — the tannins in the wine match the crystalline, savoury depth of a well-aged cheese.

PAIRING 3 — SPARKLING WITH CHARCUTERIE

Sparkling wine cuts through the richness of cured meats and cold cuts, making it the natural match for a charcuterie board. The Cellers Domenys Tres Naus Cava Brut or the Christoph Hoch Rose Blossom Sparkling both work well across the full spread — particularly alongside the Manchego, Christian Janier or Alp Blossom for a Spanish or Alpine-style board.
